Delivery date was scheduled for may 1st, so you could image what a pleasant surprise it was to see that email and picture today! Thanks to Jason for all of his wonderful support, and thank you to Vinny, Joey, And all of the incredible and talented people at the shop for doing such an amazing job!

Congrats man! My delivery date is in October..I certainly wouldn't mind that kind pleasant surprise in August! Can you post the pic they sent?

Jason - Has anyone ordered a 4 string Viceroy ?

That would look good. It seems that Fodera will do just about anything!

The shape decision is a really tough one for me. I am torn between a Viceroy and a Monarch. Luckily for me (not really) my wife HATES single cuts with a passion. She gets to chime in on this build as it is a big purchase, so my desire for a Emperor II was vetoed.:spit:

Luckily for me (likely not for Fodera:smug:) I will be visiting them this coming week to discuss my build. I wonder if they throw you out of the building when you ask if you can choose the actual screws and pieces of wire that will go into your bass?;)

Very nice interview. Now I want to try a Fodera!

what a great interview. i remember that bass. IIRC zebrawood 5 string monarch and they used pedal steel pups on it as there were no extended bass pickups available yet. I remember Vinny and Joey telling me to come and listen to this guy on his little cd player and he was so proud of the picture of the bass in the cd.

that's actually really funny. I've had two serious gfs (who never knew each other) in the last few years and both of them used to be super vocal about how much they not only hated the single cut look but also how they hated the look of a crazy wood top. I'd be looking at bass pics all the time and when an old Fender would come up it was "oooo pretty color!" and when an Imperial would come up it would be "oh god, I HATE that!" or "Eww it looks like a marble counter-top! Is that even wood?".....I think girls are just jealous of Foderas like they're jealous of other women. They can vibe how much attention they're about to lose before we even own the bass! :)
