Help me out guys. I'm trying a Monarch Standard next week. Are they that GOOD? The other Foderas are out of my budget. I'm no newcomer - been playing for awhile. I have 8 basses including a custom, Fenders, Gibson, ESP & a Peavey I'm feeling that they will all pale compared to a Fedora.
Very cool chord voicings. I'm going to steal some of them. I mean borrow. I mean be inspired by them.

Really nice work. The more I listen to other Fodera players the more I realize I need to practice more.
I bought a Emperor 5 Standard and 2-3 weeks later I ordered a Custom.
If you look at my profile you will see I have owned some pretty good gear, but in my opinion Fodera blows everything else I have owned away build wise, they cut incredibly well and are pretty versatile.
To pay for my Monarch Custom that is being built, I sold a Modulus, USA Spector, 2 great Fenders, a MTD 535 and a '70's Hiwatt stack. 5 great guitars and a killer guitar amp. I have zero regrets and haven't even got the bass yet.
YMMV, but I think they are the best basses being built today.

And I think that my Monarch New Standard is now okay. Mr Pope answered my questions and give me exactly right orders to cure my problems. But there is still midrange board unconnect. I will do that tomorrow or day after that. But if there will be problems still I'm gonna wright these here. Thank you all.

Hi guys,
I've posted a youtube link of me recording with my Fodera E5S on one of my new tracks for my upcoming album. Please don't mind the audio sync issue, also keep in mind that I am only recording the melody, lines and solo on the base template
I'm plugged directly through the mixer with no effects what so ever. The only sound editing that I did before I posted this vid up was just the overall volume balance throughout the track.

In a word, yes. The few Foderas I've been lucky enough to play have been perfect. I have a lot of high end basses that I may be selling soon to buy a Fodera.

Yeah, that's been one of the only downsides to being a partner here. Although it is incredibly inspiring, I also am reminded daily of just how mediocre my playing is!!!

I just shared this post with the team...reminding them of course that we are only as good as the next instrument that we build! That said, this was one of the kindest, most rewarding posts (emotionally) that I have read.
When I first became Vinny and Joey's partner, my biggest fear was that the next era of Fodera (with me involved) would be viewed historically as Fender when CBS got involved, or just that Fodera was no longer as good as it had been. I live with that every day and possibly over-compensate in the other direction...

Man you just made Fodera being even closer to all of us, and thanks for that!!!
The standards are outstanding. The customs are sublime. Sounds like you will see for yourself shortly. Nothing else in my stable gets played at all anymore unless I need a beater bass for one reason or another (custom shop Fender = beater bass, sounds strange to say it but it's true).

I don't like to speak for others typically, but IMHO, you are a great addition to Fodera. I don't feel like any of us are looking at you in that type of light. For one you haven't hurt the quality of the instruments, for two, lead times for builds have gone from being 2-3 years to 13 months, Fodera is more organized than ever, your customer service is unmatched, and you are an absolutely wonderful and class act person. I personally think that you are a blessing to Joey and Vinny! We don't look at you like post CBS fender. For one, the companies are night and day. You guys are a world class company, and in order to keep up with the demand, you are the right ingredient. Please be proud and confident in the fact that your presence is exactly what this company needs! Thank you for all of the effort and hard work!

That is awesome to hear as that is definitely what we have worked very hard to achieve...but blending art with commerce is always a very, very delicate balancing act and we are constantly revisiting our decisions to (hopefully) make certain that we never, ever lose or soul or forget what Fodera is about. It certainly helps that all of us play instruments and are passionate perfectionists!
And, again, this is definitely not about me (or even Joey and Vinny for that matter). We have a wonderful team of people and every one of us is vital to the overall experience that our friends and customers experience when they interact with the Company.
But the most important people of all are all of YOU as without your passion and belief in what we do there would be no Fodera.
