I can't add much to the above but my prayers are with you and your family, Jason.
Sadly I am going to miss all of you at this year's NAMM Show. I just made the decision to stay home and tend to things on the home front. My mother-in-law has been fighting Melanoma valiantly for the past three years but according to her hospice nurse is in her final days.
I had the good fortune of seeing her this past Thursday. She is an amazing woman and one of the reasons that my wife Deborah is the most amazing woman I know. It's one of those times when I wish that I could clone myself and be in two places at once.
Joey, Ken, Phil and Laura will be there to hold down the fort.
Kindest regards,
Jason

just saw these two pics on Facebook posted by Hong Kong Fodera dealer. Are these the new standards!???
Both are awesome especially the TK standard!!!
Jason, there will be another NAMM. There won't be another mother-in-law. Right choice at the right time, god speed.

TK looks very nice! 1st time I see a Fodera singlecut bolt-on.
Two very nice basses, I really like the TKS. I always associate the 2 humbuckers being next to each other as the TK spec, but of course his new bass has the pups in 70's position. It would like cool painted - maybe tri-sunburst.
J, my thoughts go out to you and the famly. Big hug from across the pond.
For the past two years (since the release of the E5S), Tom has been playing 70's spaced Fodera Dual Coils. As a matter of fact, his long-time signature bass with the closely spaced, bridge-centric dual coils has been here in the shop since October of 2011. Tom has been playing an E5S exclusively since then.
He did, however, want to get back to the Emperor II body shape again and his beloved Ebony FB...but in a bolt-on -- so that he could take the instrument apart for his extensive travels on airplanes.
For Tom's TKS we have added metal inserts into the body so that we could use machine screws (rather than wood screws) to attach the neck so that it can be removed a virtually limitless number of times without stripping the holes. This will not be "standard" on the TKS, but we are calling it the "Traveler Option" and will make it available to others too.
Regards,
Jason
Good point, but it would add more to the cost.
Also noted the carving to the neck joint (bolt area); Nice touch, glad to see it's back with this model..![]()
