The Bobby Watson bass got a new neck at some point. If you look closely at the photos the grain in the top wood is the same.

So I have been on a hunt for my first Fodera bass. It was a 1984 monarch deluxe. Zebra top ebony board. It was a very very special bass to me and for reasons I had to part with it. I am really hoping to track it down. It was number 85.

These are going to be killer. I really liked the look of the first specials but I think the myrtle with black hardware is going to be very nice.

I shipped my E5S today to another TBer in California. Sad day and I miss it already.
Every Standard I have played was top notch in any case. Not an inferior bass compared to a Custom IME in any way. I do like the angled headstock better on the Customs but I also like the Standard truss rod access better. Very few trade offs. The preamps sound damned close as well.
Yes I was quite lucky how it all worked out....now to update the old 2000 preamp or not!! Haha

Im so due for a sick week. I want to go sick this week from work, but I think ima just go sick when my bass comes so I can spend that week playing it.
Mitch, congrats on that bass. Can't wait to see it!! Pumas, I CAN NOT WAIT until you pick up that bass. I think a whole bunch of us are, to one extent or another, living this wait with you.
