Fodera Club Part XXVII

I've decided on the top! It's a great combination of unique character and different colors. It'll match well with the other woods being used with the bass. I've also switched over to using a full top due to how nice this top is.

I am interested in opinions on straps from anyone that owns both am Ergo strap and an LK strap as those both seem to be popular options with Fodera players.

1. Which strap do you prefer?
2. What do you like about it?
3. What do you wish would be different?

I know this isn't one that you mentioned but I use Moodys 4" straps. I have 4 of them and they are great!

I personally use Anthology Gear (I own two), but I'd pick Ergo over LK because of the padding.

LK are softer & more flexible. Shorter as well which I like. Ergo is padded but stiffer. Ergo is usually 4" or 3" but LK has 3.5" which I really like. Dealing with ergo company is a pain, LK much better. Ergo straps are heavier as well. I prefer LK.

Anthology gear makes excellent stuff as well, have one on a Fodera too. Thicker than LK but just as flexible.

Picked out a neck blank!

My top is in front of the samples and I've decided to go with piece in the middle. It's red oak, bubinga, and flame maple. I think it works against the colors of the top very well.

Excellent choice in woods Bernie, so cool you got a red oak neck! I played an Emperor five a few years ago that had a red oak/ Birdseye board it was gorgeous , sounded and felt great.
It was a bummer that Fodera discontinued it.
Just curious Bernie what are the other neck blanks in the pic with your top made of?

Thank you!

The other blanks are white oak with walnut, wenge, purpleheart stringers and then the far right is a three-piece white oak neck.
