Fodera Needed for Victor Wooten Tonight! Help!!

Be mad all u want. Vic plays a Monarch Fodera, not a Warmoth parts bass, SX, Fender, or Ric. Can he play any bass, yes he can, but on a Fodera he is able to achieve greatness.
I'd put it slightly differently myself, as the greatness is sort of built in by now and I'm sure he could "achieve" it on any number of different instruments. He just prefers to do so with his Fodera. I hope some very lucky fan gets a big thrill out of loaning Vic a bass. Kudos to Fodera for doing their best to make the gig happen right for Vic and his fans.

Bumping this back on to the main page. Hoping we get some kind of story of how this turned out, or even better, pics of the local player who supplies the magic sword...er, Fodera. (Can never see too many photos of a Fodera.)

I suggest an extra-special performance of "Norwegian Wood" in this night's set!

Yeah,to be honest I really started to hate my 100 USD bass.
And well, what can I say...I don't make loads of money,so I'm saving while I still have other things I need to pay on.
And the only reason I hate my 100 USD bass is because it started to make alot of problems.

So I opened the other thread to get a single cut(which I like the looks),with the things I want(which are not so crazy) for 1000 USD because yeah,I'm broke. :).

And if that is not good enough reason for you...ok.

Huh???? Good enough reason?
Hold on....
Sorry bub, you come across as someone who plays 100USD bass because regardless of resources, thats what you play.
Sorta the "it doesn't matter so I play the cheapest I can find" mantra that some I've seen toss around.
YOU broght up the fact that your bass is cheap and tried to wear it like a badge of honor. A punk like ethos if you will.
When in fact, it's not.

You said in other threads you hate your bass because it's a PJ. Not because it's acting up.
You didn't like the tone.

Being broke and getting what is within your reach at that time is totally cool.
Do what you can.
But don't come across as almost a flag waving anit-$$$ bass owner.

By the way guys, funny thing is I actually really like Vic.
:D This was all just to make sure this thread stays high!
(and to get out of my boredness lol).

:hyper: I really wish he will get a Fodera.
But like my crazyness said, any other bass will not make any difference.

Bumpy Bump!:hyper::hyper::hyper::hyper:
 Is '99 your birth year? That's actually a serious question, because we do get some very young posters.

I suggest an extra-special performance of "Norwegian Wood" in this night's set!

Sweet.

Whatever bass Vic gets, he'll make it sing.
It's not the bass who makes the artist, it's the artist that makes the bass sing.

Kudos to Fodera for trying to help out one of their flagship artists.

Funnysad are the people who want to make this an e-peeing contest.

A part of me wants to see him rock the **** out of a squire tho >.>

so true! I really wish to see some of bass greats to make an experiment for us, mortals - by grabbing a cheap bass and amp, and make a video demonstration that bass/amp doesnt matter that much, that its the fingers, the groove, the knowledge etc that matters.

I thought Vic made a post here once about how he carried-on his bass in a Mono bag. Are they not allowing that now and making him check it a luggage?
Just curious, and giving another angle to discuss while bumping you to the top.

Rules keep getting tighter. Probably Vic just didn't want to them put on the rubber gloves and molest his Fodera. If I owned one I wouldn't want them to touch it's junk either... :spit:
