Looks like Fodera has new artwork for their string packages and they made a mistake with the gauges (unless the A string is eight times thicker than the E string.)

Oh the shame!!! ;)

You're welcome. If it makes you feel better, I used to do business with a company that did proofreading for very technical publications. I would find the most obvious errors in their work even though I knew nothing about the technical aspects of the material.

I doubt that will confuse anybody who has the slightest clue about anything. Heck I had to read the other posts to figure out what was wrong!

Same here. Nothing looked wrong to me. I've gotten used to seeing so many posts on the strings section of people writing ".040" as ".40" that if I see either, I just KNOW they mean .040... That and I was like, "Oh look, they just listed the gauges in reverse." I know this can't be the first packaging that's listed gauges from high > low... But, meh... I'm one to talk - I'm picky about my peanut butter being on the top side of toast and the jelly on the bottom - it just looks wrong flipped on a PB&J sandwich. :hmm: To each their own.

It's the correct order to go from high to low, or rather, from 1st string to 4th string.

Well I hope by now that everybody is relieved and that everybody can have a good night rest, now this is solved.. Sjees, I don't understand all the problems. It's always going from high to low and the extra 0 doesn't change a thing. We all know, what is ment with it. If you don't, stop playing the bass.. What's next : Vinny Fodera cuts his mustache the wrong way?:hmm:

If you REALLY want to be nit picky, I'll guarantee you that the strings inside don't measure .040, .060...and so on.

I want them to put the actual measurement of each individual string on the package.

0.04103
0.05999

and so on and so fourth.
