For you married men......

Yes, my wedding ring clacks on the fretboard and drives me nuts (especially on upright). I explained why I take it off, and promised I'd keep it in my pocket and put it back on when we break, to help ward off all the bass groupies (uh...hypothetically speaking, of course), and she said she's cool with that. She's a pretty cool lady in general, though--that's why I married her!

i specifically had my ring made so it wouldn't hamper my playing...it's very thin and skinny. to please the mrs ( and let's face it, ain't nobody happy if the mrs ain't happy )why not find a very thin wedding band to wear on stage.

but she must understand, ring or no ring us bass players can't help but be chick-magnets. we can't hide the SeXy awesome.

I take everything off my hands, wedding ring, Tigers Eye ring and my watch when I play. One of the guitarist in Odd Harmona works at Mass Street music and we rehearse next door so I often show up and hang around till he gets off. So that I don't scratch a brand new Huss & Dalton, Collings, Taylor, blah blah blah, I take off my jewelry.

I also get naked from the waist up when I eat BBQ
