Forgotten 70's Rock Bands

Nazareth has been touring again for some time. I saw them in 2000 but they have played more recently around here too.
Amboy Dukes (Ted), Brownsville Station (Cub Coda), and Frijid Pink, among others, used to play for my Junior High School and High School Dances.
Also had Mahogany Rush and Peter Kaukonen (Jorma's younger bro) with Black Kangaroo at another High School. Black Kangaroo was the first time I saw/heard an Acoustic 360. Couple grads from that high school were front guys in Sha-Na-Na (no one mentioned them). My first successful band was in that high school and derivative of Sh-Na-Na. It was called Buddy Weiser and the Hops.
It's somewhat interesting how so many of the acts at the original Woodstock have been largely forgotten.
With all that live music back then, we NEVER had DJ's at dances. We would literally turn around and walk out, opposite gender notwithstanding, when dances were held with records. Back then, DJ = empty room at the dance. How things change.
Not sure anyone has mentioned Johnny Winter or Edgar Winter. They were both pretty big.
A British act that was pretty important that no one has mentioned was Humble Pie. They were great and produced several offshoot major stars.

Bang was an American hard rock band from Florida, active briefly in the early 1970s. The group released three albums on Capitol Records, and had one minor hit single with "Questions" in 1971.
On a side note, when The Bangles were starting out, they wanted to name the band "Bang" sort of a double entendre for an all-female band. However, since this band "Bang" already existed, they ended up taking the name The Bangles as a result.
