You won't have any problems with this stool leaning forward to turn pages. The quote that you are misinterpreting from the maker is a warning about putting your weight down carefully after getting it off the stool, because it might could slip on slick surfaces when you sit back down at an angle. You're creating the idea of a 'stability issue' in your head, no offense.

I love this ding dang thing and really do think it's the droid you seek. I got mine on a lark for a super bargain used here off TB so I'm happy to pay the favor forward.

Disregard. I've got one - it's very stable. He's just saying it takes a minute to get used to it, methinks. Turning pages is not an issue, and never have I ever been concerned about falling over while playing.

I bought one, too. It's stable, but yeah, you have to think a bit more than you would with a reg stool. I find the experience is best when I'm farther back on the stool and putting all my weight on it, vs. being more on the front edge like you can do with a reg wooden stool (and like Jason does in this video). If you have your weight on it, it's super stable.

I got it because I couldn't get one at the height I needed that wasn't large and heavier. If you don't need 29/30". there is a lot out there that is light and easy to deal with. Have you guys seen the ones that accordion up and go flat? They look like they would be cool if you don't need a foot bar. Lots of cool fishing/outdoor options, too, but they are all too short for me.

That being said, this thing is so light that I don't ever take it apart. I haven't had a one trip schlep since I started using a stool, but I'm back!
