Over the years, I've tried many stools, some caused some physical problems, like sciatica, after long hours of playing. I think I've found the perfect stool, the back less Liquid Stands Stool for several reasons-lightweight, the footrest is adjustable (an option on no other portable stool I've had and the large seat is sculpted like a bicycle set so that the pressure on the back of the thigh that irritates the sciatic nerve is gone. Only negative is the large seat can make going through swinging doors cumbersome but that's a small inconvenience versus the other benefits. Hope this helps someone, I know several players in our section who have had sciatic nerve and back problems from stools that weren't ergonomically matched to their bodies.
