Frasier. Greatest Sitcom Ever

Just watched some old episodes - again - on Comedy Central. Still find it incredibly funny, super clever writing, great acting etc. Stands up against anything before or since and never feels dated, except maybe Kelsey Grammers early 90's mullet.

A local channel shows a bunch of Frasier reruns on Sunday mornings. After a hard Saturday night, what could be better?

When Roz was pregnant, and met the future grandparents.....with the big noses.
When BB tried to quit smoking.
When Niles & Fraiser kept getting caught in Daphne's underwear drawer/room.

Best ever? No. But certainly one of the funniest. I love that show. Been catching the reruns on one of the cable channels recently.

I think my favorite episode was the gay episode with Patrick Stewart. I enjoyed the David Hyde Pierce joke that was thrown into it.

I never liked it. Maybe I was too young to get the humor, but I didn't care for it from what I remember.

Personally, I like Seinfeld and...um...well...I also really like Friends

Not the best sit-com ever, no. It's certainly one of them, though. M*A*S*H is the best ever...

Roseanne is on my short list of candidates. I would believe that Arrested Development would be unreachable with the exception of its relatively limited tenure. Simpsons? As a fan of ensemble comedies I prefer Cheers to its spinoff, honestly.

I liked Frasier but Cheers and Married With Children were much more my cup o' tea.

I can appreciate that Frasier was way above average, but could never really get very interested in it. Although I'm tired of watching the reruns now, Seinfeld was much better.

Like most long running sitcoms, of course there was the odd weak episode with lazy script writing and corny one-liners, but as a body of work, I don't think any other show bears up to repeated viewings like Frasier does. Initially in the shadow of Cheers, I think it became a bona fide classic in it's own right fairly soon afterwards, and only die-hard 'non-fans' would be churlish enough to still call it a spin-off after a dozen or so series.

I also think the brilliant supporting cast, DHP in particular, gave the show that extra something.

Niles Crane perhaps one of the greatest TV comedy characters ever.

Watched 'Ham Radio' last night. Still laugh out loud funny.

Truely the best sit-com of all time, IMO. MASH and All In The Family are runners-up. Everyone has different tastes which is why Raymond lasted more than a couple of episodes.
