Well....
I ordered a set of green Fretfx for me Carvin LB76F on 3/13/2018. I’ve ordered from them before (back in 2015) and didn’t expect any issues.
I didn’t receive a confirmation of my order or anything like that so I emailed Roz and asked for one.
I got a response on 3/16 confirming my order, saying they’d been shipped out and I should expect them in “2 or 3 days.”
I didn’t hear anything else or receive them by 3/21, so I sent an email asking for a tracking number.
No response from Roz.
I sent a follow up email 10 days later on the morning of 3/26, asking again for a tracking number.
Later that day they arrived, so I sent another email letting Roz know that the tracking number was not needed as they’d arrived.
I followed the instructions and made sure I measured them against the fingerboard to see if they fit prior to installing them. They did, so I put them on. Perfect fit.
When I put the battery in they lit up RED, not green like I’d ordered. Argh!!!
I emailed Roz:
“I have a new problem” and sent a pic of the installed RED Fretfx on my greenburst bass, explaining I should’ve received green ones.
Roz replied the same day,
“Hello Ron,
Yes, you should have received a 34" fretless, Green, FretFX.
If you did not, please return the package to:
FretFX
P.O. Box 22739
Denver, CO 80222
I will re-imburse you the return postage and ship out the correct Green FX.
My apologies,
Roz”
I thought “Cool!”, packed them up and sent them back the following Monday.
2 weeks went by without a word. I sent an email asking if the red Fretfx I sent back had been received yet and when I could expect the correct replacements.
Nothing.
A week later I sent the same email again.
Nothing.
And the next week I did the same, asking for an update.
Nothing.
My last email was on 4/18, requesting an update, but I still have heard nothing from Roz since 3/26. No word that my returned Fretfx have arrived, that replacements have been sent, nothing.
Sooooo...
I’m hoping to hear SOMETHING back, but I don’t know.
I’ll update this thread if and when the situation changes, and as much as I like them I don’t know if I’ll order another set for any other bass I get.
