Fretless question

So I've been playing Fretted bass for 5 years or so and i was wanting to get into playing fretless. Love the tone and love playing one. I was wondering what I should get. Should i get a Squier as it will be my first fretless? Or since i have about 800$ saved up should i get something better? I am open to any suggestions

Grab yourself a Squier VM fretless. First and last fretless you will ever need. (IMHO)

See i have a Squier Vm Fretted and i love it. It sounds better than some other basses i have that costs 3x as much. The squier vm fretless is the the only fretless I've played so I don't know what the other options are like
