My Crews Maniac Sound Jackson Five Fretless is a coated Ebony board. Not sure what it is coated with, but it's pretty robust. They also make a four string version......if you can get one. Japanese bass, not sold in the USA. But you can find them on Reverb and eBay. Here is a review Low End Lobster did of my actual Crews bass.
