Singers are more common and get mixed results but every female bassist I've crossed paths with are basically extremely doted on by everyone.

As BL I dote on all my bandmates! They're a great bunch and I'm fortunate to be involved with them musically and as friends.

Isn't this essentially the old "I Back A Hot Singerbabe" thread, rebooted? What happened to that, it ran forever.

No, it is not. Apparently you didn't read my first post, or the posts by the Mods (post #49, and post #92) who addressed your post.

I love the flute in a lot of styles of music.

Yep. Here is my band. We have a part time woman who plays flute and sings backing vocals in this track. I don't think I have any photos on this computer right now, but as a whole we probably sound better than we look (the guys anyway). Unlike the rest of us, though, she's an actual professional musician who lives out of town, so it's very rare for us to gig with her these days.

I dig it, and nice bass playing! Thanks for posting!

Having turned seventy about eight weeks ago, I consider myself in my dotage. But I dote on everyone; I'm not selective about it.

As I do with my friends and the people around me who are open-minded, kind and positive. :) However, I am selective : I do not dote on dolts. (more wordplay)

At 70, best place to receive 'dotage' is Japan - they actually respect their elders there. (no joke, even if this thread is on the Bass Humor and Gig Stories forum. (let's not forget this!)

Changed the title of this thread - still open to female tb members thoughts on something better.

Well, as is typical, those who are easily offended at the thought that we can celebrate people who are unlike them have shut down all the dialog in this thread. This is why I wasn't going to bother posting here. Though it does prove informative, in a sad sort of way.

Don't throw in the towel yet! - let's try to keep it positive and inclusive, at least until it gets tiresome fending off the opposite... (which as you say, will most likely happen) The sport of negativity - such a boring pastime.

Ok then - new title, same concept. If any women out there in tb land have suggestions for a new title, let me know. The generic one will suffice for now. As you can see, this thread will be monitored so please act like adults or as one of the other mods earlier suggested, move on.

Here's another recent pic of my current band with Kirstin on keys and vocals at a club here in SF - I feel very fortunate that she is in our band. I'm the BL and we all sing, with her and Paul (guitar) sharing main-vocal duties.

An example of a recently recorded song we do -

Nice! Next SF show you have, feel free to send me gigspam.
