There are parts of the state that are not so crowded and stupid, further north...
My dad flew(flight engineer)on B-29s & Globemasters, as well as C-141s, 707s, DC-8s & DC-10s. He owned two Piper Tri-Pacers(separate times)& a Cessna 152. My late father-in-law flew P-47s(saw a little combat, IIRC)& F-84s; he also crashed a T-33.
I've been meaning to go to the Udvar-Hazy Center for years. IIRC, it's one of the few places in the States, if not the only place, to see some rare warbirds like the Do 335.
The plane right next to it is a Ar 234B-2 "Blitz" jet bomber.
A fighter that represented the peak of piston-engined performance in aircraft.

Bassy fits- I have to believe a good, arena-sized bass rig would do the same thing to one's mid-section as the aforementioned plane's rumbling motors. 
speaking of big airplanes...
YB-60....B-36 with swept wings and jet engines...too slow and not real maneuverable. Got trounced by the B-52, and with the service history of the BUFF, they picked the right airframe in that contest!

The Corsair is one of my favorite airplanes. it's kind of a shame I never built a 1:48 plastice model kit that ever got finished one, though...
Speaking of model kits, I should dig mine out again, as I need a new hobby.
I quit because of [DEL]two[/DEL] three things:
a) girls weren't impressed in my model kit skillz
()b) i got a girlfriend and she became a massive drain on my financial assests
c) the hobby shop here closed
