I'm not sure on the Hornisse vs Uhu- I don't have amental image for a Hornisse but I'm CERTAIN the 219 was the Uhu. I could of course be mistaken...

Edit: I'm going let the canard go- I know it but want to clarify the German thing for my own peace of mind.

Yep, except its a Hornisse, not an Uhu.

Looks like a development of the 162

Nope- it's a Henschel Hs-132 dive-bomber; the pilot lay prone to combat G-forces in the pullout from the dive. Never went into production or combat, thankfully for the allies.

Coolest soviet era jet fighter ever IMO was the MiG 21. That thing absolutely kicked butt, and they are still in service all over the world.
