Future Impact now available!! WAS: deep impact reissue!!! interested?

"Connect your bass guitar to the INPUT jack. Connect the OUTPUT to an amplifier. Use a Roland/Boss compatible 9V, minimum 100mA stabilised power supply with the minus pole in the middle. You have to use a power supply according to the mains voltage and connector requirements in your country. The power supply is not part of the delivery. "

This is from the quick start guide.

I feel like I read something a few days ago indicating the FI could need up to 500ma. Am I crazy? I could have sworn someone suggested getting power supplies ready as the pedals were shipping and they wanted everyone to be prepared .

my memory tells me its more like 70ma.. because i remember expecting something huge like the markbass supersynth and being pleasently suprised.
Back a few pages lokkie mentioned the power needs of the pedal.

Might be more like 20 pages actually.

I'm pretty sure 70 mA is the actual current draw---it's the number they quote on the product page. It would then make sense to recommend 100 mA to be safe (peak at startup maybe? nice round number?). Not sure where you're getting the 500 mA number unless it was in regard to a different pedal or something.

Probably. I read too much and don't retain enough....

never heard about this. 100ma is enough.

So let's have a quick status: our efforts were successful in shipping out all the EU orders yesterday, you can expect those packages right after Christmas! Carrier is DPD, not TNT, because of some practical questions of time pressure.

But: all the overseas units were rejected by the carrier because the lack of time to perform the customs administration so they will be processed on next Monday-Tuesday. Every piece. No exception.

Now I switch off my Future Impact unit and stop sound designing for a while :) but I will be reachable here in the forum, I wish you all a Merry-Merry Christmas!

Thanks for the update.

There have been some questions about the VAT refund. Some of us don't see it yet. Any news of this?

Merry Christmas!

Thanks @Gabor_Gerenyi!

Will you be sending us tracking information, or will we receive it from DPD? And in either case, any idea when?

To the crowd: anyone have experience with how DPD handles customs charges, who they pass their packages off to, etc.?
