maybe the sensitivity is set too high? when i have it set to high i get some false triggers. also keep in mind that you have to play monophonic, no notes should overlap. other than that i am baffled. i can make it glitch of course, but to say that the pedal is very glitchy seems hmm, wrong...

What types of patches do you notice latency on? Generally, latency is introduced in the pitch detection stage of synthesis and should be consistent across patches. I wouldn't expect patch parameters to make a difference in latency unless you're doing something that is pushing the limits of the DSP chip.

Using a Tobias Classic bass, I find latency and glitching on virtually all settings, if i play an active bassline such as "lget into the groove" by madonna...in any case, tracking is nowhere near what I get on Boss sy-300. or Roland v-bass

try playing a very active bassline, with octaves or 16th notes at brisk tempos, and tell me what you hear

Yeah that makes more sense. I'd suggest trying another bass with the pedal. Also, are you running the FI first in your chain? You might even try running a compressor in front of it. Basically the first step the DSP does is ask "What note is being played?". You may need to help it along by playing cleaner, using a different bass, etc.

I play cleanly, with excellent right and left hand technique,and am familiar with bass synths, such as Korg G-5, boss sy-300, Roland V-bass, all of which i own or have owned. I like the instrument I'm using.. If i have to buy a compressor, and use a different instrument to get the pedal to function optimally, it seems a bit of a stretch, wouldnt you say?

I mentioned another bass and a compressor in the context of troubleshooting the issue, not a full time solution. Perhaps if you could post a video of the issues it would help.

hmm, the v-bass does not track the pitch, so that is out of the question. it's basically a very intelligent distortion i don't know what the sy-300 does.

one tip about octaves, it helps if you mute the lower octave shortly before you play the higher and vice versa. if you let the lower octave ring until the upper starts, the pitch-tracking algorithm may not get the new note, because it thinks it is the 2nd harmonic.
