Future Impact now available!! WAS: deep impact reissue!!! interested?

My tracking today showed no real useful information, "shipment received at TNT location", location= "USA Others". However, I received an email from "UPS My Choice", that says I should expect a package from 'TNT USA', tomorrow.

I guess to clarify, if I had not signed up for "My Choice" I would not have had any indication that UPS had possession of it, or that it was expected to arrive tomorrow.

Edit: fixed to make sense

Same here, I have "My Choice," I would not have known without it.

ok, while this is not the original madonna sound, nor the exact bassline (i just listened to it on youtube)... you can hear that it is far from glitchy. maybe it is not that much in the groove :)

this is played with my jazz bass with the tone knob turned down (which could also have a small impact on tracking)

Excellent! The tracking sounds fantastic. I do a lot of bass transcribing and would gladly transcribe this one. I've played it many times in the past. The band I play in covers a ton of 80's music and I'm hoping to phase out my keyboards by using the FI.

Once I receive this pedal and get to spend some time with it, I will definitely post some files as well.

I'm hoping that some posts here stating "glitchyness" is due to user error. When I had my DI I was able to play some really fast lines without any glitching at all. And if the FI is supposed to be like the DI, I would expect the same.

Wow I can't make it retrigger that fast. I assume it has a lot to do with clean and fast fingering. But what note on note off values do you use? Which pick up? Are there any other settings or tricks that helped you?

Sigh. Mines coming UPS just like I feared. Wonder how much they'll charge me. :(

I really hope this isn't true (re: UPS charging). No one else has said they've been charged, I have to wonder if UPS is really that different?

i use both pickups but in series (mod, kind of like a p-bass) tone rolled off. other than that directly into the f.i. and from there into the MacBook line in. the sound I used is from my examples shorty2 with cutoff set at a higher frequency. this makes the notes sound shorter, but it does not affect retriggering. adjust the sensitivity so that you don't have to dig in too hard since that tends to introduce fret noise which does not help in tracking. that's about it.

I hope not but I've only received one international package from them ever and they charged me. It says I have two coming! I don't even know what the second one is!!! LOL! I get emails from UPS about deliveries, that's the only way I knew it was them.

note on and off are both at standard values (5)

I just sent a request to Gavor for tracking. Where are the rest of you getting your tracking info?

I had to e-mail him. I got TNT tracking, then when it was transferred to UPS I got an e-mail because I was already signed up for UPS My Choice (which has a free option).

I spent years avoiding playing synths live by chopping and changing pedals and to be honest since I gave up I really enjoy playing synth parts. :) I like the fact that the feel is different, modulation is easier, glissando exists without trying to trick it with a Whammy effect, etc. I even like using arpeggiators. :)

I still use synth-style modulation on bass guitar but sometimes only a synth will do it.
