I don't have Word either, and had to download Apache Open Office. It's free, and let's you open word docs.Hi, FI... I'm having a rough time opening the files associated with the Editor.. My Windows 7 Won't open the file extensions .ocx. .dat, or. ldr.. HElp!!! lol. I dont have Word or perhaps lack some other common windows programs.. please advise
I think you already started the editor earlier in another directory, not the one where you start it now. If this is the case, then delete completely the directory c:\GB32PATH from your computer. Then you will be able to use it again. Thanks, I already did those steps, as per previous instructions. still cant open, just have error message for Fiprog100b.exe:LastErr= 0x2 filename
thanks, I deleted the folder.. now I get this error message: LastErr=0xb7 Error at MkDirI think you already started the editor earlier in another directory, not the one where you start it now. Added the Strymon Dig to the FI mix last night. These are the synth sounds I've been looking for! Tonight I will add the Count to Five.
Very excited about this and considering preordering.
Would just like to know if this will track low notes as well / low latency as my G5, or will I need to play an octave up? I suppose with the pitch shifter in there I can drop the non-synth bass tone down an octave to compensate?
It tracks all the way down to low b on my 5 string.
Unfortunately the parameter potentiometer is not cheaper at all as the detent potentiometer of the Deep Impact, with 11 detents. No manufacturer sells detent potentiometers from the stock. I spent three months to find a manufacturer who is willing to produce for me a few hundred of these, but the minimum quantity was 5000 pieces. That was out of my reach.

Well gigged the FI last night and it was outstanding. It's funny I was using my zoom ms60b for synth sounds which worked ok, and for sh*ts and giggles I ab'd it with the FI last night. After listening to the comparison, I can't believe that I was ok with gigging with the zoom synths for so long! Lol!
The FI killed last night. My bandmates and my sound engineer loved the tones. I think when I pulled up my "Just can't get enough" (Depeche Mode) patch, I almost seared my sound engineer's head off. It was thunderous. I definitely have to roll off some low end on that one!
What amazes me the most is the fidelity of the tones. The ad/da conversion is top notch. The sounds are sooooo crisp. This is where the new Boss synth pedal failed for me. I just didn't care for the overall quality of the tone it had. The FI is superb!!
I'm one happy camper!

I would be very thankful if you can point me to any. I checked Mouser, and they have about 400 pots from Alpha. When I narrowed the search for linear, D-shaft, panel mount types then about 20 remained, and none of them is detent.Alpha make 11 detent pots in both 16mm and 9mm versions as stock. I believe Mouser carries a few values in panel mount. What size pots are you using now?
