Future Impact now available!! WAS: deep impact reissue!!! interested?

Hey guys I have recently acquired the FI from pandamidi.
I have a few questions if anyone is so kind to answer them.
I have noticed that every time I power up the unit it powers up on preset 72. No matter what was the last used program it always powers up on that sound. Is that a normal behavior?
Secondly, is the VAT refunded automatically after a month or do I need to do anything for that to happen? (I live in australia)

Thank you in advance for your answers

The unit powers up on the last preset edited and saved, not necessarily the preset it was on when it was shut down. Seems a little weird to me, but I've gotten used to it. It's not a problem with the unit, just the way it works.

I waited a month or so with no VAT refund, then emailed them to ask about it. Had it in a couple days after that. Give them some time then remind them if you haven't gotten it in a few weeks.

Congrats on the purchase! It's an awesome pedal!!:bassist:

Hi! Thanks for the quick reply.
I did notice that it used to load a familiar preset whenever I used to power it up. However since a few days ago it only powers up on preset 72.
I even went and saved another preset after I read your reply to test if it would power up on the last saved preset and after writing another sound on preset 15,I powered down the unit and powered back on and preset 72 appeared again.
I believe it isn't a normal behavior as when I first got the unit it used to load a familiar preset. Never noticed which one but so far I only have 15 personal sounds saved (1 to 15) and since started turning on preset 72 it got me thinking: Might that be a way to indicate there is an issue with the unit (eg error 72)?

In regards the VAT, it's been exactly 4 weeks since I bought it so I'm gonna wait another week as probably it will get refunded pretty soon. I will contact them if that doesn't happen next week.

It could be an issue with the unit, but I would think you would have other issues as well if that were the case. I haven't saved any presets in a while or checked for firmware updates, maybe it's a software issue. I'm guessing you saved w/ the editor, try modifying a preset on the pedal and save it without the editor, see if that has any effect. I'll check mine out and report back.

E.g. you would like it to power up with preset 12. Then first power it up -> it starts with 72 in your case. Scroll the PROGRAM pedal up or down to reach 12. Then you see on the display 125 (5 is a default parameter). Turn the dial to get 126 and then to 125 again. The rightmost decimal point will blink. Press the dial. Blinking stops. Now if you reboot you get preset 12.

Thank you guys! I indeed edited with the editor app, and when I tried doing the edit on the pedal in fact stays on that preset now. I wonder how I got to edit number 72 with the pedal.
Must have been on a gig where the lighting was poor and I kept accidentally pressing the bank button when tried to activate the sound.
