Looking for a good midi controller to use on stage to store and change patches. Anyone tried this one? ( Source Audio Soleman MIDI Controller)

I use the Ground Control from Digital Music Corp (Voodoo Labs). It's discontinued and now they have the Ground Control Pro, but you can find the one I have here and there for pretty cheap and it's perfect for simple patch changing. Also has input for two vol/exp pedals to send CC messages too. May not be the most advanced and deep offering out there but certainly one of the most inexpensive.

Hey guys is there anyway while on road to change presets with Android tablet? Of course using some small Midi interface? Anyone did that?

Do you mean a simple patch change (e.g. jump from preset 6 to 85) or are you looking to edit the patches? Like Adamixoye stated, there are definitely numerous options for Android and iOS to act as a MIDI controller.
But, man, I am definitely hoping that the FI editor will be made available on Android and iOS sometime, maybe with the new impending firmware update...
BTW, totally dig your youtube demos! Must've watched your review of the IE SubT 20 times while I was in the hunt for one.

@Adamixoye thanks this is what I'm looking for.... also what you guys use to connect it to tablet, I have Focusrite sound card but not that smart to carry it with me, too bulky.... something small.

I use my iconnectmidi2+ with FI and never had a single issue.

They are built like tanks, have 2 MIDI I/O lines and connectivity to IOS devices that stream near zero latency audio by bypassing any D/A-A/D.

Its overkill but not even running over it with a car would kill it and can be had cheap used on eBay.

I get the Roland UM-ONE MK2 to light up, in light flickers when I hit the edit/bank button but nothing happens in the editor? I must be missing a step, any help is appreciated. The stock sounds are killer!

After hooking up your um one to your computer and opening the editor, you should see -- on the display of your pedal. If this is the case, then all of your editing is done through the software, not the pedal. When connected to the software editor, the only functioning knobs are input and output gain. All editing, loading patches, saving patches, etc, are done through the editor.

How are you scrolling through the presets? If you are doing it with the pedal, that is incorrect.

When changing patches in the editor, nothing changes on the display of the pedal. All of your adjusting and feedback is within the editor.

If you click the load button, it should bring you to a list of preset files, factory ones and/or ones you have downloaded from the share drive. You may have to browse Windows to find the folder where they are stored. Select one and open it. You should then be able to scroll through the list in that folder using the scroll buttons and all the parameters should change with each preset change. You can then modify to your hearts content, using the editor not the pedal, and save new presets. To load to the pedal, save your preset with the patch number where you want to store it, then use the write one button to send to the pedal. Hope this helps.

I have loaded patches, then made some changes, saved and loaded again in a different slot so I could A/B the changes, it can be handy if you are really trying to nail a sound or if you aren't using your main rig while editing.

Yea, it can be tricky sometimes to dial in sounds. I can't get my main rig in my office where my computer is so for a while I was editing/creating sounds, loading them, putting the FI back on my board to try them, then back to the office to edit some more, repeat cycle, repeat again...it was a pain in the you-know-what! I finally got smart and loaded the software onto my wife's laptop and set it up in the "studio" (basement rehearsal room) so I could hear the patches on my main rig as I was editing. Much better! Of course, explaining to my wife why I needed her laptop was a little tricky. But she'll get over it, hopefully. Anyway, what kind of octave sound are you looking for? I made an octave down patch, it's in the share drive. It's a clean octave though, not a synthy OC-2 kind of octave or anything. It might need some tweaking for you but try it if clean is what you're looking for. Might be a good start if nothing else.
