still unclear why that bit of code was missing
also while trouble shooting I found that there is an "allow MIDI" setting in chrome that was oddly set to block
I changed it but not sure if that was affecting the FI not
I can only guess this setting somehow got ticked after I used the Disaster Area site after I set up my new midi baby

That bit of code only gets written at the point you enter something in the relevant box in the editor, but since that didn’t appear to be working for you, I thought this might solve the problem and thankfully it did.

Totally doable and really easy. It will be a synth oscillator rather than pitching up your dry signal though.

The manual is embedded in the editor and also available to download from the panda site should you wish to read it on something other than your desktop.

I’ve had my pedal for years and just got around to downloading the editor and connecting it to my laptop.
I’m having a heck of a time, not what I’d consider user friendly.

Have you updated to v3.60 and are you using the v3.60 editor. It’s a massive improvement over the previous versions.

I uploaded the most recent editor 3.6. Having trouble getting them to talk and update the pedal or upload my presets to a file. I’ll have to spend some more time to figure it out.

Read the portion of the v3.60 manual on the editor suite to get set up.

Each editor is designed for the firmware of the same number.

You can update firmware via the Chrome browser tool.

If you have any customised patches you want to save and are on a pre v3 firmware then read the little document about that. Any on-pedal modifications will need to be noted manually as these are not stored as part of a preset file anyway.

Thank you. As we were writing I decided to do this on my PC rather then Mac and was able to use the browser tool.

I’m a newby and only had my FI for a week or so. I have my first gig with it next weekend so I’m trying to find the sounds that will work for the tunes we play. I have found that the FI is making a few of my other pedals redundant. I did not expect that lol. Going to have to make a list of which presets fit which tunes and make a list and figure out how I can switch them quickly on the fly.

Press and turn the rotary encoder knob for adjustments will skip up or down between presets, 10 at the time. Single tap on the selector button will go +1 on the presets. A quick doubletap on the same will go -1.
Changes done to a specific preset will be instantly lost as soon as you move to another preset, unless you save the settings.

Not quite. A single press of the encoder moves up by one bank (i.e. 10 presets at a time). Pressing+turning the encoder moves through patches singly in both directions.

Thanks folks! I appreciate that. I’m an old set it and forget it pedal guy and I usually stay clear of sophisticated pedals like the FI but the sounds are just such high quality and professional sounding I just had to take the plunge and figure out how to make it work for me.

I am no fan of desktop editing etc, but with the FI, you can do a lot of tweaking in the pedal, without hooking up external gear. And I agree, some of the sounds are really amazing.

Yeah I don’t hear anything that needs tweaking to my ear so I’m good lol. I play with a funk horn band and I go ampless to the front of house. I can’t wait till my gig next weekend lol. My keyboard player is gonna be knocked out.
