Future Impact now available!! WAS: deep impact reissue!!! interested?

And shouldn't I be able to hear the sounds in the editor just by double clicking (highlighting) the sound and then press the note on the upper left in the Bank commands?
I don't so there's probably also something wrong with my hook-up to the editor on my computer. The computer doesn't seem to recognize the type of sound files (pr3).

Well to many problems now... need to practice actual playing for a while :)
Thanks for all the help. Hopefully I will get it working in the future.

There is a communication problem between the editor and the FI unit definitely, but I can't seem to find it. The midi connection seems to work as far as I can see it in the midi preferences.
So do I miss something crucial as far as the FI connection to the 4Control unit? Anything I need to do to get the contact between the 4control and the FI working? A special order of starting things up? Holding down programs and/or 'on/off buttons'?

I wonder if switching the input and outputs on the FI would solve it.

My guess is, as is usually the case, the MIDI cables are plugged into the wrong ports.

when hooking up to the editor and moving a slider in the screen, do you see two horizontal lines in the FI’s LCD? If not, it’s most likely what I said above in this post.

By the way, finally, The little blue button on the 4Control interface should that be pressed down to get a steady red light or a blinking? I figured it should be in the blinking position. Also, what are those small Jack 1 & Jack2 holes on the upper side of the 4control unit?
Please read the relevant bits of the 4Control manual.

Wow, it actually did :hyper: At least the downloading from the editor to the FI seemed to work after I totally swapped both midi in and out cables. I guess it woke something up :)
Now I just need to know how to hear my editor on my computer. I was just about to give up... again.
I'm very grateful for all your help

Glad you got it working. :) That ends up being the case so many times with MIDI connections. @Quatschmacher helped get me sorted with the FI so I'm glad to pass on the help.

Thanks for doing that. Apologies for my rather curt-sounding responses today - had a lot going on which meant I wasn’t able to be as helpful as I usually am.

Hello guys I have recently purchase the FI, patched to 3.6, working fine.

The next step was to find a proper midi controller, I have two options:
  • Soleman: complex to configure, I have been able only to use up and down) not on/off or set list
  • Tech21 Midi Mouse: up/down/search seems to work but I am having a odd issue program on FI and Midi Mouse doesn't match (please check image) not sure if this is an issue or I am missing something.
Please if anyone can point me out how to proper configure these controllers or suggest a different one that works fine and is easy to configure will be really appreciated.

Morningstar MC3 or MC6 Pro is your answer. MC6 Pro is the one you really want. The software for programming these is very easy and even has built-in functions for many pedals, including the Future Impact.

Yep, MIDI mouse is off by 1 and if I recall correctly cannot be altered.

Morningstar all the way (at least until Mortrix launches). MC6 Pro is brilliant and will give you access to lots of FI features. Can be used as an interface for the FI editor too.

That’s what my guess, I have configured in several ways and didn’t find the way to fix it.

On the other hand, I have the Soleman, did anybody was able to configure the Soleman in an advanced way? I will check the Morningstar but seems to be out of stock and I prefer to explore soleman before expend money in a new one pedal. Any help will be appreciated and thanks guys for your quick answer!

The MC6 Pro is fantastic! I use it to control the FI and an Eventide H90. I did a lot of research and while it's pricier than other options, you will never be wishing you had an option that isn't there. It does it all.

Thank you very much to all of you.

I am looking for the Morning Star because is out of stock everywhere. Anyway, a friend of mine lent me a Soleman. Works fine to navigate through the patches but I have no clue about set-up macros, lists, and so on.
But direct from Morningstar. You can go on an email list and as soon as a new batch is available, they’ll contact you. Doubt you’ll find a used one any time soon.
