Well, no video yet but at least we have confirmation of new classic 80s bass synth presets. They have obviously taken a cue from the overwhelming success of the MXR bass synth pedal. Take my money!

Yes. It takes a bit of work to dial in the envelope response to match dedicated envelope-controlled filter pedals, but I’ve done it and shared pretty decent patches. Can it replace my envelope/filter? Can it affect clean sound this way? Can I adjust parameters of the envelope on the pedal?
Yes it can, though it is a mono output. Only the dry/wet mix can be adjusted from the panel. You can set up patches to respond to MIDI so that you can make adjustments to LFO rate, mod depth, etc via a MIDI controller box.Can it replace my chorus? Can modulation applied on clean sound? Can I adjust parameters of depth, rate on the pedal?
Yes, there’s a decent amount of overdrive and distortion options that can be applied to the instrument audio input signal, though again, panel control for this is limited to drive level (providing overdrive is last in the active FX chain); MIDI control is possible over the deeper functions. Can it replace my fuzz? Can it affect clean sound this way?
It has all of those possibilities to cover other than "synth" functions, keeping in mind that a complete synth performs multiple functions by combining different blocks that we as bass players often view as separate effects type pedals. There are step by step instructions on how to achieve those functions in the manual for those geeky enough to dig in on pages 90-95. It may or may not replace what you are using for those specific functions for example the envelop filter sounds use more parameters that the usual pedal and are in different blocks. Another example is the fuzz and overdrive are of a slightly different texture that is used in guitar/bass pedals, to my ear it is a very useful sound but will never replace a TS for example. I have a few patches created for my own use that utilize those separated sounds as well as using the FI as a studio preamp with the excellent 4 band EQ.I am really keen on trying out the pedal. With this new housing it even seems to be pedalboard friendly. Altough to justify spending this amount of money on experimenting (on something I don't actually need#gas) I need it to replace some of my pedals. So here are a few questions to those who have newer models.

I know it's not a multi effects unit, but it would be really useful to use these parts separately on custom patches not using the synth engine.
Waiting to hear more about the new updates!
Morningstar (MC6 Pro) and Mortrix. What's everyone using for a midi foot controller? Would love some recs!
The short answer to your 8 questions is YES to all of them. If you are really interested in details, please take the chance to download the excellent manual written by Peter, you find everything explained in it what you want to know about the FI.I am really keen on trying out the pedal. Specifically for the FI - what funcionality do these controllers add?Morningstar (MC6 Pro) and Mortrix.
Now here is the new demo video what demonstrates most of the new features that will be available in the 4.5 software:
