I want to get proficient with the editor before I bring in a midi foot controller, but it is definitely on my list, as I'd like to ultimately use it to control both the FI4 and Ableton for some live composition. Using it to change the coarse on the occillators sounds like just the thing. In the meantime, I'll give your other suggestions a go. Creating two chords, such as a major and minor sevenths, with two Flexis, and then subtracting notes with the other two is a great idea.
Yes, I use roundwounds. After writing this, I did try different pitch bend settings with the first four programs in the pedal while using the drum rack in Ableton (which doesn't have pitch bend that I can tell), and the +12 did seem to eliminate or at least greatly reduce other notes (drum sounds) firing while playing a drum line on the bass. This is all good and proper fun! Thanks!
