Yes, I use roundwounds. After writing this, I did try different pitch bend settings with the first four programs in the pedal while using the drum rack in Ableton (which doesn't have pitch bend that I can tell), and the +12 did seem to eliminate or at least greatly reduce other notes (drum sounds) firing while playing a drum line on the bass. This is all good and proper fun! Thanks!

You must match the FI pitch bend setting to the external MIDI pitch bend setting for the FI MIDI out function to work correctly.

Sadly I can’t be there due to caring responsibilities. I’ll have to content myself with watching from the sidelines. I look forward to hearing what folks think of the update we’ve been working on.

This is pretty elementary stuff and probably best served through a (non-AI!) Google search, but the short of it is that most pre-1980s synth sounds we know and love used "subtractive synthesis" which is where you have a tuned oscillator(s) that follow your notes (though multiple oscillators can be tuned into multiple intervals to create chords per key!) run into a filter to "subtract" harmonic info and make the oscillator sound more palatable- raw oscillators sound fairly harsh, so the filter combined with the blending of multiple oscillators (sometimes at slightly or widely different pitches to create a wider sound) is usually the magic sauce in a subtractive synth.

FM synthesis came around and dominated starting in the early 80s via the Yamaha DX7 and others, usually in digital form (vs the analog format of most of the original subtractive synths). It is harder to explain in a short way, so best to watch some videos but start from Wiki: Frequency modulation synthesis - Wikipedia

Yes and no. People have been asking for that sort of stuff for a while and we’ve talked about it. The success of the MXR showed that there’s a significant number of people who won’t do their own programming that we weren’t catering to.

Can’t really argue with that sentiment. However, it’s a small company with limited resources.

Sometimes stuff is kept due NAMM attendees only. Source Audio showed Encounter at NAMM last year but made absolutely zero official announcements about it until it was released later in the year.

Yesss! I'm wandering the internet about bass effects for some time now. The brand and the FI only came into my view a few months ago. I needed proper research to find out not only the company is from my homecountry (Hungary) but their office/shop is just a few kms from my workplace. I was shocked. I haven't tried the effect yet, but if it is like in the reviews it ought to be more accesible, reknown, well presented! Lets goo
