I am anxiously checking back daily, hoping and wishing for some sound clips to kick my GAS into a feverish level.
Hopefully we can get some soon, since this is supposed to go up for sale in just two short months.

What I really want to know is ...
Can the FI replicate the sound of a taco being bitten into? If so, are we talking first bite? Second? Can it do more than one bite at all? Can you hear the difference in the FI's taco replication between the taco crunch with the undercurrent of lettuce crunch? What about sour cream? I like LOTS OF SOUR CREAM! I want to be able to hear that extra sour cream mush up with the guacamole and subtle crunch of the cilantro and onion in the salsa...

If you follow the whole thread lokki seems pretty legit. If he's trolling then there's a 95% chance this whole thing is a troll.
That may be the case but if it was true that this was all one magnificent troll, it would be EPIC, hilarious, and gut wrenchingly rage inducing all at the same time. I'd still buy one though...just because...you gotta have a back up for the real deal. Amiright? AMIRIGHT??!?!?
You would keep the more advanced and fully featured Future Impact as a back-up to the "real deal"?
Considering that there are no clips at all of the still unreleased Future Impact it's probably a bit premature to suggest that the Deep Impact is obsolete and this new unit may be superior. Cram all of the features you want into a new design but the bottom line is that if it doesn't sound as good/track as well as the original then who really cares?
If had bought a Deep Impact I would have sold it to a Muse fan by now. I am more interested in the Future Impact as a new bass synth pedal and less as an heir to the Deep Impact legacy. It looks promising but you're right, it could be all sizzle and no steak. But if it is a flop maybe that checks off one of the boxes for a worthy Deep Impact successor.

FWIW I do hope that this thing totally delivers. I sold my Deep Impact some time ago because the money was too good to pass up. I still miss it sometimes. If this new box delivers the sounds with its' full feature set then I'm most definitely in.
