Yes...as a "back-up." Unless the FI unit delivers more that what the DI can then that is what it will be. It doesn't matter if the price on the DI flops, I'm keeping mine. Had it since day one and haven't really found anything that produces the sounds I've programmed into it. Not slamming the FI but until it is under my feet and fingers, there is no way of knowing how it compares. I'm just as excited as everyone else to get my hands on one and put it through the paces. Until it arrives though...it's all just words on a page.

You have to love the crazy cycles some of this stuff develops.

I am eagerly awaiting some clips. I am already super pumped about this, but clips would (hopefully) push me over the edge. I can't wait to hear what this thing sounds like, and I hope some are released before soles open up, not that it would stop me.;)

Yeah, this is feeling a LOT like the Beat Buddy right now, one of the other projects I followed from early on through its completion. Which ultimately turned out okay. But you get waves of excitement then skepticism with each reveal and/or delay.

haha, there you have it... i was actually busy trying the prototype, programming sounds and more... i asked andras and he did not want me to post samples. he will do the video himself. i can tell you though, that i am blown away by this pedal as it is now. andras included some very exciting new features,among them a second filter which makes this pedal reach wide into dubstep bass stuff, if anyone is interested...i am actually very proud to be part of this thing and i think this is really it. the first playable and versatile bass-synth pedal :)

Besides the filters what other effects does the Future Impact have? Can they be applied to the clean signal? Sounds like you are suggesting that the filter cutoff can be controlled by a LFO source, cool! Can other parameters be controlled the same way? How many modulation sources are there? :hyper:

I'm not sure I could summarize it accurately, but I will say that if you look at the product page and Andras' previous posts there are hints at answers to these questions. Sounds like there will be delay and modulation that can be synced to MIDI, in addition to all of the synth stuff.
