Future Impact now available!! WAS: deep impact reissue!!! interested?

I wish I could say the same!

I've gort an M5, I've yet to explore this expression-pedal implementation because Line6 didn't use a regular TRS input to control it. Finding an expression pedal that actually works with the Line6 is a PITA. I haven't been able to find the Line6 one here locally, ATBH I don't want it as I've heard the plastic is spastic ie not very robust. What else is there that works with it? Mi$$ion? So even if I get an expr pedal that works with my M5, I'll never be able to say it's superb.

This is slightly OT, but I'm pretty sure you can create a simple adaptor that will convert the TRS of any expression pedal to the TS of the M5. Just need to connect the tip and either the ring or the sleeve of the TRS to the two contacts of the TS. Polarity shouldn't matter either, and I'm pretty sure that within a reasonable range the resistance doesn't matter as well.

I'm also pretty sure the "Mission Engineering Line-6 adaptor" does exactly that.

I'm trying to understand what @lokki is saying in this post:

The Reflex just uses normal MIDI CC, not NRPN. Having a CC number in the Future Impact that can control the expression would be ideal.
NRPN is not different at all from a normal CC, it IS a MIDI Controller (no. 98 and 99).

Pre-order is over. All sold out.

Kulit and I bought them all.

All this talk of MIDI and cc and stuff is very interesting, but is there a controller pedal out there that those of us who are tech clueless can just plug in and make the thing go whoooooooooooaaaaaaaaaa whaaaaaaaaaaooooooo whoooa whoooa whoooa with our feet? So far I have bought and managed to not programme an Adrenalin with an upgraded fcb1010 and a Chunk Octavius and it is just depressing.

good point. it is a tradeoff. either you have a simple setup that just works or you have a setup that leaves you all the options and is harder to understand. as far as the f.i. is concerned frequency cutoff and midi-volume will be implemented as separate cc-messages in a first firmware release, making them very easily accessible.

Dear Friends, our FB page is really up and running, please check and Like if you like :) we will share exciting new infos there in the next few days and weeks!

Future Impact

Please, just update the website info.

While I'm interested in the Future Impact, I am completely un-interested in so-called social media such as FB. :vomit:

while this is of course true it is still also a fact that most hardware midi controllers for foot-control do not send nrpn messages (3 or 4 cc's at once). i think the fcb1010 with the uno firmware can do it though.

So what happens if I send just one of those MIDI CC messages (98 or 99)? Or can the same thing be accomplished by sending both of those at the same time?

The Midi Solution Event Processor box can remap almost everything (MIDI Solutions Ordering Information) it can cope with NRPN as well.

Making a firmware option for a single CC would be far more cost and space efficient, not to mention simpler and more flexible for more users. Just my $0.02.
