Here there's some synthy goodness doubling some of the bass line in the chorus



and maybe some subtle blending in this one too, at least that's what my ear hears – almost an '80s synth-pop nod to the tic-tac doubling of bass lines in Nashville; or another studio trick, piano doubling the bass, but in this case it's synth.




IIRC, one of the primary songwriters in Strange Advance was a bass player.

Depends. It is uncommon to get hit with an import charge in the USA. I've had it happen twice in the last 10 years having ordered hundreds of things from other countries. In my case it has only happened with large relatively expensive items.
