Fuzz Face for bass?

I just found my old Fuzz Face and am curious if any bass players use them. I got this thing second-hand in 1969 when I was a guitar player. It's an original "ARBITER-ENGLAND" model that's been in a drawer for years.

I'll clean it up and check it out. Boy, just looking at this thing brings back memories.

Just realized this should be in effects. Mod, please move.

While we're waiting for a mod to move it, I'll mention that the Fuzz Face can be modded for fantastic bass response. I don't remember the specific component changes, but it's been described on the diystompboxes forum many times so you could find it there. I had a TecAmp Dream Buzz, which is a bass-modded Fuzz Face clone, and it was a seriously awesome sound.

Also, FWIW, I got an English Arbiter Fuzz Face in a trade a few years ago, needing repair, and put it on Ebay "as-is". A guy from Japan bought it for $400. So you have some options there.
