Fuzz/OverDrive/Distortion?

Howdy folks, I've noticed these kinds of questions are asked on here quite I bit. But I couldn't find any to really help me too much. Anyways, I have a Boss ODB-3 OverDrive pedal already. And I want like a sludgy kind of tone, like the band Weedeater uses, but I just can't get it out of the ODB-3. So, I was wondering if anyone knows what kind of pedal I would be looking for, in order to get the thick, sludgy muddy tone out of such a pedal. It doesn't have to be a specific pedal per say, but what I should be looking for in a pedal to attain such attributes? Thanks for the help!

When I hear muddy/sludgy, that tells me that you want a Big Muff, or one of the several hundred clones of it that are out there on the market. I am not familiar with Weedeater personally. Is there a specific song you could provide me with a youtube link so we can give you a more detailed recommendation?

OK, yeah you could get close to that with a Big Muff-based pedal. If I were you, I'd see if I could find an Earthbound Audio Supercollider used in a classifieds. If not, then a Musket by Blackout Effectors or the Hoof by Earthquaker Devices. No matter which one you get, turn the tone knob all the way to the left and then break it off ;)
