Fuzz

Welcome to the effects board, the source of so much effects GAS. I'd check out the Way Huge Swollen Pickle. It veers toward the muff end of the spectrum when it comes to fuzz. It's a guitar pedal; however, no low end is lost (at least to my ears). Also very tweakable, too.

I will 2nd this. I went to a guitar shop couple weeks ago looking for something with a bit of overdrive. The sales guy kindly asked if I would want to try a beastly pedal. He said it was meant for guitars but he showed it to bassists and his bassist uses it and he loves it.

He showed me the Swollen Pickle as well, I fell in love with it, and I was never i the market for anything fuzz like. I'd so go with this or try it out. It's fuzzy as hell and retains low-end like a mofo.

I made a vid right when I got it, did a cover of Mastodon's Curl of the Burl with it, so you can see how it sits in the mix and such
