I received my tremorslo in the mail the day before my wedding. So, I actually just got to sit down and play with it yesterday before practice. It does exactly what I want it to do. And, it helps me to avoid the "kneeling down to change tremolo knobs while playing keyboard with my other hand" dance. I'm more than satisfied.

Also, my pedalboard was stolen about two months ago and I came home the other night and my wife had built and customized one for me! It's just made with some scraps/leftovers from the garage, but it is surprisingly sturdy. I threw the basics on there for practice. It's a little messy at the moment, though.

Quick question on the Helio. I opened it up last night and noticed that it doesn't have it's own board, it's a grey stache board and a bdpg board. I found this really interesting because before I looked I thought the tone stack sounded similar to the broke dick. (and btw, it sounds so much better on my LM2, the Orange was so muddy). Anyway, combining the GS and BDPG. Is that how the idea for the helio came about? Or was the idea to cop the failure sound first and then you put those to boards together. Sorry for the interview type question, but I'm learning a lot about building latley and how different sounds come together to make certain tones happen. Any info on this would be really awesome.

It uses those boards, but has some different parts and mods to get the tone/sound where I wanted it to be. So, in short, it's not a GS or BDPG ;).
I wanted the Failure tone first (ever since I heard them in high school a zillion years ago) and used my knowledge and insider tips from people in or connected to people in Failure to create this beast.

Helio is in! Was on vacation and finally got to the post to pick it up. Sounds super beefy.

Yeah, I forgot to ask, please add the heliotropic and OSD to my list. I absolutley love the osd as an always on overdrive. Its perfect for my band and cuts through nicely. It also allows me to use my RatTail at a heavier setting, which I love. I really couldn't be happier with my set up at this point. As much as I can't wait for the verellen pre to come, I'm almost a bit nervous because I have what I feel is the perfect sound right now. And I'm using a VT as a pre amp,haha.Guess I'll have to wait and see. From what I hear the tubes will make a big difference

Just a quick update. I was never totally sold on the RT. I had given it a few tries but it always sounded too glitchy/sputtery for me. Recently I got an Fdeck HPF and i ran that first in my chain and it made a huge difference especially on the RT. It sounds a lot smoother and the glitch and sputter is gone and even though the HPF is cutting low end, the RT seems to have more low end now. Before there were a few setting where I found the RT to be too thin, now it sounds full on all 3 clipping modes.

The impact was not as dramatic on the OSD but i still find the HPF improves the overall tone. None of my pedals sound overloaded anymore which is what I was after.

Absolutely! One of the best $100 I have ever spent gear wise. I wad looking at the microthumpinator too but the fdeck (series 3) is cheaper and offers not only the fixed HPF but also a variable HPF between 35-140 Hz.

What is working really well is the HPF first in the chain, I also set the variable HPF to about 85-90 Hz, then I go to all my pedals with my Para EQ at the end. I use the EQ to boost the 85-90 Hz range and get back the "lost" low end from the HPF.

i'm a bit disappointed that ry stopped making tremorslo before i had money to get one. it was on my "get one to check it out" -list and i haven't found any other tremolo pedals that would seem as interesting. oh well, maybe i'll find one used some day.

i seriously need to have more shifts at work to get me a few more pedals from fuzzrocious. yes, just a few more, then i'll stop.
