Thanks Ryan. I had them written down and all set to go before the box arrived. I spent hours with the pedal today and I gotta say man, your best work yet, you out did yourself on this one. I LOVE this pedal!!
I dialed in the failure tone first and kinda took it from there. Plenty of other great tones though. The pre (1st)knob is super useful. I found when I used a P bass it was best around nine o' clock, with the J I brought it up a bit to about 11.
I also found the tone (which goes clockwise treble to bass like ryan likes to do) worked best for me around noon and even down to 9 with the J.
My J has Fralins which have a very vintage low heavy vibe.
The Helio works great with other pedals as well. When I turned my VT on it really came to life. I'm sure the BDPG crew will find the same type of results.
I happened to order a OSD with it, I'd been meaning to for a while. It's funny how well they work together. With the OSD first, HOLY TONE!!. I will most likely be leaving the demon on all the time. It sounded great with the Rattail in front of it as well.
These are just some first thoughts, I still have a lot of experimenting to do. I have band prac tomorrow at noon so that will be the real test. But like I said earlier, I am already really impressed with the Helio. I had a slight gas going for the baby thundaa, but I could honestly say that its gone now that Ive heard this guy. It has subtle similarities to a muff, but overalll the Helio is its own beast. Its a unique voiced fuzz thats totally versatile. I could see this thing staying on my board for a while.
If your thinking about it, GET ONE!!!! It's so awesome

Sorry that was long winded, my girl doesn't wanna hear it though, so this seemed like the appropriate place

Thanks!!! Happy to read that you're diggin' it!

Just wanted to ad that the Helio sounded great today in the mix at band practice. I got to see what it could really do turned up and driving it hard. It's capable of very dark, doom sounding fuzz tones. Almost reminded me of Dan Likers tone on SOD's speak english or die. Or other early thrash like Nucler Assault or old Anthrax. Hilarious in the context of my band but it worked so well.
So many fuzz pedals sound the same these days, and while thats not really a bad thing, it great to own one with a unique voice.

It`s so weird to see these on ebay. Every once and awhile I`ll look thru ebay to see if any of Ry`s babies are up there for sale. But I NEVER see them listed. I figure it`s due to the fact that most folks know him thru TB or other forums where they can easily flip them and get their money back.

I wonder what the back story is on these?

A question for Ryan or possibly others: is the signal from the Dark Driving inverted in phase from the bypassed signal? I have been playing with blending using the Badger Schism and it seems to work best inverted from the dry signal, while most of my other pedals are best in phase.

It's not inverted as far as I know

After coming home from my honeymoon to a family member's health crisis....I am now officially "back in gear".

I received my tremorslo in the mail the day before my wedding. So, I actually just got to sit down and play with it yesterday before practice. It does exactly what I want it to do. And, it helps me to avoid the "kneeling down to change tremolo knobs while playing keyboard with my other hand" dance. I'm more than satisfied.

Also, my pedalboard was stolen about two months ago and I came home the other night and my wife had built and customized one for me! It's just made with some scraps/leftovers from the garage, but it is surprisingly sturdy. I threw the basics on there for practice. It's a little messy at the moment, though.
