Took the OSD > BDPG out to a desert rock session today. Really made my P-bass sound good.

First time I've gone out without the grey stache since I got it. Felt weird :/ but I was going for more of a vintage bass tone. Turned out really good. I like having the right pedals to capture my current mood and Ry has done a great job of capturing all the different aspects of bass dirt with his pedals. Couldn't be happier with them!

That would be my new pride and joy... and might I mention I now have GS+ 001 and RK 000. Great stuff.

I had a DD and sold it. A single knob version. Purple with an orange Saturn with green rings. Coolest looking pedal ever. I was on the fence about keeping it for a long time, but finally sold it to raise funds for the OSD. I wasn't playing on the DD that much and so far I play on the OSD very often.

I`ve just started to mess around with CptRevell`s old Dark Driving. Controls feel a bit weird to me,almost counter clockwise. Might just be me. Sounds way different when I use a active bass compared to passive too. I like it but I`ve got to find the sweet spot.


side note:
I wish I would have bought a GS+ when I had the chance way back when.

They are opposite from what one would expect. I never used it on actives, but I tended to like the gain about mid. I really liked how it responded to how hard you tended to play - I think combined with a nice preamp (I use a Tech 21 jobbie, some folks like the broke dick) it exponentially increases tonal production.

Left knob is gain. Turn it left for full gain.
Middle knob is volume. Turn it right for full volume.
Right knob is tone. Turn it right for full bass.

I do respect your opinion and I currently have a single knob version as well, I think it has more effect going into other pedals than by itself. It has the greatest impact with the BDPG or other preamps behind it as it does work on how hard your hitting the strings.

I tend to run my lighter clean sounds with just the DD>BDPG and then turn on my OSD for heavy thick tones DD>OSD>BDPG and it really works well through my clean run ampeg.

OK! That`s what was throwing me off,the gain knob. Yep,turning it left totally cranks the gain. I guess that`s opposite of how you think it would be. That`s what was strange to me. I looked at the site Ry but I must not have noticed that. The more I play with it the more I`m enjoying it. It goes great with my Rat Tail :bassist:.
