used the OSD at a gig last night. My main amps are all with my tech so I was using my Walkabout. The OSD sounded awesome. Used it as a mild OD and it really does sound like a good tube amp being pushed. The DD is similar but to my ears the DD sound more like a low wattage amp distorting while the OSD sound like 300 watts sitting right in the sweet spot. A little more clear, focused and defined than the DD and the controls are more sensitive. Small tweaks on the OSD go a long way. Definitely a keeper. Also for some reason the volume and tone controls on my pedal are very close together, and the tone knob can get stuck a against the volume knob. I need to turn the volume right down to be able to turn the tone control all the way off, and then increase the volume. Is that always the case with the OSD?

The question is do I need to get a Rat Tail now? :D

It doesn't have the fancy etched case, but it's still pretty d@mn cool... this just came in on Thursday. :) I haven't gotten a chance to try it though my full rig yet, but it sounds awesome through my practice rig (headphones ) and my small rig (Hartke Kickback 12 for church). Still getting used to it and finding favorite settings, but so far I'm really digging it.

I posted some thoughts here.

I think fitting another club number in my sig is going to be a challenge though... lol

tried the Rat Tail in practice tonight.

i'd been fiddling with it at home and hadn't really settled on one sound, mainly because it's so tweakable. so at rehearsal, and being in a rush, i plugged in, set it to a pretty arbitrary, medium-gain boosty type setting and... whammo! loads of lows, nice rich mids, sounded great in a full rock band mix.

incredible real-world performance. punches like a really punchy thing.

EDIT gigging it tomorrow...
