I'll throw some Fuzz & distortion clips into the Broke Dick tomorrow. No Grey Stache but I am rocking 2 different muff variants and a Rat Tail.....plus a modded DS1.

I tend to run my Broke Dick at Max Gain all the time switching between 11o clock and 1 o clock tone depending on the song and group. It is indeed an always on Preamp that can function as a nice OD distortion.

The Penis Pedal rages on.

Well the biggest thing obviously is one is a fuzz and one is a distortion! The Elements is super versatile and gets you warm and fuzzy, thick tones. It also can do a nice OD with the gain switch down.
The Rat Tail/Rat King is also super versatile but is not what I consider warm and fuzzy. Its more aggressive and biting/cutting. The RT also does a very nice OD but again it is different sounding than the Elements.
The Elements, when in full fuzz mode, has a bit of a noise wall going on for sure. It can get quite loud and hissy when you stop playing. The RT doesn't really do that at all. It is quite quiet IMO and you can get some awesome harmonics if you want that come through beautifully thanks to it being so quiet.
If you don't have a distortion on your board, you owe yourself to. You'll love how it cuts through the mix and it also stacks beautifully.:cool:

Ok, This is a comparison contrast demo using Fuzzrocious Rat King distortion and Dr. Scientist The Elements. Now you can actually hear the Classic Distortion/Fuzz debate.

All the clips are clean tone, Rat King then Elements.
I start off with both full blast. Then lower gain/heavy OD. Then just OD.
I try to cover the 3 major playing styles. Riffs, chords then melody lines in each gain setting.

Pardon the crappy playing yada yada yada...:o

Filter 8:30, Distortion 12:30, Clipping1 8:00, Clipping2 4:00, LEDs all the way. Definitely no good for a light OD though.

You guys are killing me with all of the Broke Dick love. I just bought a Rusty Box (based partially on Ryan's endorsements) and I'm beginning to question my decision.
