I want something that stacks well but has a nice eq to it that can give my bass more body. By body, I mean more bass and low mids.
That is exactly what I use my BDPG for

There's no Stache in your future Gregmon?
Greg,I say this as a fellow bassist and effects fan, and in the nicest way possible. You gotta chill for a sec. Haha. I mean, I went through a pretty big pedal phase too, but, how are you even finding time to hear what they do. Eh. You know what. Enjoy yourself. If you have the money, go crazy.
It got to the point were I realized that, most of these friggin things are all the same. And I spent money on a better bass and amp. THAT is how you make you pedals sound better. These days, if it's not built by Ryan or Doug from darkglass, I don't even wanna know about it.
That said, lets hear some more about the Ram The Man parts. The demo sounds so awesome. Anyone using it? And in what context?
Not annoying. It was really meant to be funny. You don't have to explain to me man, look at my list of pedals I went through. And I'm pretty sure we use the same amp.I was just making a point that I feel like a lot of cats spend $2000 on effects and have a $300 instrument. At some point the idea of being a bass player gets lost. And thats why I stopped. But that has nothing to do with you. Please, don't misinterpret my statement. I went through it too. Its funny.
The trading gets crazy. There was a point that I was trading pedals that I loved, just to try something else. A good example is the Baby Thundaa, there was no good reason to part with that. The rusty box too. I love shellac and Jesus lizard so much, I should still have that one. Otherwise, I found fuzzrocious and darkglass make my bass sound exactly how I want it to. And thats an awesome feeling when you find that.
I'd like to add the question, "How many of us bring gear worth tons of money to gigs that only pay us enough to cover gas and the bar tab? I know I'm guilty.
What is this..getting..paid..you're talking about?

I've overheard audience members making not so nice remarks about selling CDs at a gig though, some seem to see it as begging or cheap in some way. And I gather people rather buy another beer than a CD anyway.
How many people bring fancy gear to gigs and they don't even have any cd's or t shirts for sale. Merch is how you make a profit without selling your musical soul. Having that been said, the Demon pedal rules. I've never had a distortion pedal that makes things clearer but the midrange tweak on the demon compared to the OCD really gives the Demon that SVT tone, and I played an all tube SVT-2 Pro for years. This pedal sounds as good as that amp with the tube drive and input gain controls cranked. Its my all time favorite pedal at this point, I never thought I could get that sound again without going all tube.
