From the moment the I got my Streamliner, I knew that it was special--and so totally different from the amps that I had been using. To be honest, there were several times over the years where I considered selling it, only to pull it back out, play it, and reconnect with how special it is. Something magical in that box. It's more flexible than it seems at first glance, but the EQ settings to get there have had me scratching my head on more than one occasion. It's currently residing in a friend's studio sitting atop a pair of GS112s (I know...) and still had the tone that I loved...but the low end on that combination was hard to tame. As I had sold my Genzler RE/Q to get the Magellan Pre, I no longer had a HPF--which, to honest, I hadn't yet tried out there, so I picked up one of fdeck's HPFs after experiencing the flexibility that a variable HPF affords following my acquisition of a pair of Mesa Subway amps. It was a serious game changer! The studio has a tendency to accentuate the low end once you get to the far end of the room. Adding the HPF to the Streamliner allowed me to mitigate that effect and rein in that "bloom" that had previously been hard to control.
