G.Benz Tube Works

Saying I don't believe something is not calling any one individual a liar .. In other words I am sure that GB has all the blue prints for the various designs they took over back in the day.

*sigh*
But the man himself said they don't. Why would they hold out on you? It doesn't make any sense whatsoever for guys who have helped hundreds of former customers over the years with noth GB amd Butler gear.....even though they have both moved on to other projects... to single you out to turn down for help if they had a way to help you. Tell me how that makes any sense when you really think about it.

(Answer: It doesn't)

Not that it matters but regular business sense would tell me other wise. Thus for those with TW gear that need advice .. just contact Butler himself. They are more than happy to help... even after 20 years. I rest my case.

The jury of your peers here at TB finds GB "not guilty" of suppressing information they might have given you. ;) Case closed. ;)

I'm saying that the product you mentioned had already been discontinued long before we ever had anything to do with the company. We received no schematics, no other documentation, period. Is this clear enough?

If Mr. Butler still has info and is willing to help, then that is your best option. We can not help because we do not know the product.

And, my understanding of the word baloney is indeed different than yours.

Ok point noted. Since you are the GB man on this site .. is there any way to dim the blue leds on a shuttle 3.0 other than taping them? They are so bright that I can't see my settings.

Has it been so long since these amps came out that we've forgotten the official TB-sanctioned designation for these LED's? RSBLED- retina-searing blue LED

:D
Yes, it has indeed been that long!

I just saw an old, but apparently very good condition Tube Works 300 watt bass amp for sale. It got my curiousity going so of course I did a Google search, which, of course, brought me right back to TalkBass and this ancient but recently resurrected site.

I suspect it's easier for (most) people to complain about something - whether they have any legitimate complaint or not - than it is to reach out and give someone their due 'props'.

That said, I wish to publicly thank 'Aged Horse' for the several times he has generously assisted me (without ANY compensation asked for by the way.) I currently have a Genz Benz Shuttle 3.0 8t which you would have to pry from my cold dead hands (that wasn't the amp I needed help with).

For those of us 'old farts' who sometimes yearn for the good old days when customer service meant going above and beyond, I again thank Aged Horse for setting the bar as high or higher than anyone I have interacted with. He sets a good example for all of us.
