I guess I can now be called a bonifide member of the G. Gould Club!!! Got hooked on the graphite necks by a 96 Modulus and I must say I'm totally excited by the light weight of this 6string and just like the modulus, every note speaks equally well. No Dead spots or extreme loud/soft areas. I'm extremely happy!!

For Sale/Trade - 2000 G. Gould Pulse 5

This showed up in the classified ads this morning. This is a recent neck installed on an early body. Apparently the mounting holes did not line up so the plastic plate was installed on the back to cover up the extra holes. This is speculation on my part but I cannot think of another purpose for the plastic neck plate.

So think before you jump on this one.

here's a nice one from the good folks at the bass place. mentions that it has a red cedar body. loved that tonewood. pretty light like swamp ash but has a bit more 'ooomph' to its low end.

speaking of nice, did anyone here pick up the blue gould on fleabay a couple of days ago?

definitely a looker. i could see myself getting frustrated tho since those two pickup switches were placed between the volume know and 'g' string (my 'overzealous' play zone where my right hand tends to strike when hitting a prime note). but that blue tho!

That blue quilt top ggi5 is indeed beautiful....but....too bad the electronics were changed.

An old man whose works I used to read would have called it "a unique solution to a non existent problem".

Yeah, those switches are not in a good place.

two things:

1. I'm asking The Bass Place to check their scale. My records say the green bass weighed about 8 lbs. It's too bad we can't really make basses out of this wood anymore. The dust is too irritating to work with.
2. I talked to a guy in Texas who sounded like he was getting the blue bass, but I don't think he's gotten it yet. I have no idea how it sounds.

yeah, i had a coco-topped ggi5 with a red cedar body that was nine pounds on the dot.



swap out the brass abm bridge with an aluminum one and swap out the metal knobs with rubber emg knobs or aluminum sadowsky-type knobs and you'd easily be near eight pounds.
