G. Gould Club!

Hello all,

I have this used, 2021, beauty in route to me. Serial 1361. Specs say that it has a EMG 35PX in the neck position. I saw EMG's website that they make this pickup in both a P and reverse P type. The owner didn't know which one is in this bass. Does anyone know whoc one Mr Gould typically uses?

Pretty sure that’s my old bass. I was its first owner. It’s an amazing bass that I wish I still had.

Coming up on my first full year with this bass. Such an easy playing bass..

what strings come stock on the ggi5? im just about ready to replace them and i really like the tension/feel
Geoff offers his own brand of strings, so I'm pretty sure that's what would come on a GGi5. The tapered B, E & A strings would be something to confirm.

I sold the first Gould P-bass last week!

It got a rave review from the new owner, so I'm not alone in being knocked out by it. Now I need to start plotting the next one... some day, I shall own one of these.

I've also got another one in the quoting stage as a special order for a customer. Let me know if you're interested in doing the same!

I was supposed to be working right now 4th of July gig in New Braunfels!! Got Rained out. Hopefully 2morrow's gig off Hwy 46 will go through!!
At the time of my previous post no one had any idea of the impending scope of devastation now associated with the July 4 floods in Texas... If you can, please pray and/or find a reputable organization to help. Many families lost loved ones. As of last check 111 are confirmed dead, 171 overall are missing and 30 of the dead are children.

In light of this tragedy, my loss of 2 gigs obviously means absolutely nothing. My guitar player from church, who lives about 7 miles from the middle of Kerrville, had his trailer thrown down a hill and a wall ripped off as he was sleeping that morning. He lost about 60% of his gear but thankfully he's fine, and our church is helping him get stable. He was supposed to run sound for a Robert Earl Keen 4th of July concert that day on the Guadalupe river. The stage was found mangled about 2 miles down stream..

Daddymactx and I both live in San Antonio. We are about 70 miles from Kerrville and the flood area. We are grateful to be okay but grieve for those who lost their lives and property.
Even thought both Chuck and I live in San Antonio, we play gigs almost anywhere in Texas.. The 2 gigs I had that weekend were downstream and very near to the stricken area.
