G&L closed

Thx fir the info.

I sent an email to be in the waiting list. No return yet.

Anyone on the list?
I sent an email and got a reply this morning. Confirmed what was stated here, that items will start listing after NAMM. Parts will be sold through Mighty Mite and complete instruments through Franklin Guitar Works. It didn’t sound like there’s a notification list per se, so I would just check those sites after NAMM.

I asked Mighty Mite about 1 meg reverse audio pots a month ago and got basically the same reply:

Hi mouthmw,

It's hard to give much clarity on this at the moment, partially because of other entities involved. Mighty Mite/MIRC were tapped to tapped to take a lot of remaining stock as G&L was being shut down and bought out by another entity. For parts like the pots you mentioned, some things we will only be able to sell the stock we acquired, others could possibly be replenish-able. Keep an eye out in early 2026 as we will be able to say more and announce news on that front. Sorry I couldn't be of more help, but we have to respect the privacy of the other parties involved. Have a great weekend and a Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanks,
Brandt

I also wonder if there would be any sort of warranty on these items or it will just be an "as is" thing.
I seriously doubt there will be any warranty. A couple years ago, I bought a Squier Paranormal 54 Jazz Bass from Franklin Guitar Works through Reverb. It was brand new, but because it was part of a bulk purchase of a discontinued model, Fender offered no warranty, and FGW was careful to say there was no warranty on the instrument. It was listed as "used-mint." I suspect whatever G&Ls they have to offer will be like that as well. Again, just conjecture. I think I just like to hear myself type. :wacky::rollno:

It makes sense, I follow the logic.

Anyone have more info on this buy out?
Hasn’t it been settled as Fender at this point? Leo’s image appeared on the Fender site, which it never had before. The extent of what IP they purchased is still unknown, but it certainly seems that the rumor they were the buyer has been confirmed. Hopefully they’ll issue a press release at some point and shed a little more light on future plans if there are any.

That's the thing. We don't know what Fender will do with this stuff.
- Will Fender take over importing and selling the Tribute line?
- Will Fender produce from their own factories any of the G&L designs?
- Will Fender come out with modified models implementing any G&L pickups?

Who knows.
