Thanks, I think it's from the first run of 3 + 2 headstock. My main bass played everyday from 1997 to present.

There's been a bunch of wild stuff like that being listed as "limited edition" and "prototype" lately. I had my eyes on a gorgeous spalted maple ASAT the other day. I don't know what G&L is up to these days but I really hope it sticks. Anyone know what's going on with these wonderful wood experiments? Finally got around to fixing the pickup sPrING noise. Was wondering what to use as muffling and noticed a pair of earplugs on the windowsill.
Worked like a charm. Took all of five minutes.

I sold my ASAT a couple of months ago, so I'm retiring my G&L Club number (#481) for the time being. Down the road I might want it back, but I'm trying to observe TB club protocol...
I just got both of my G&L L2500s rewired.
Removed the actives, middle switch is neck pu back switch is bridge pick up. The Favorite combos as of Friday's nights gig from my band" Mister Jitters" is neck in full bridge in single coil inner, or bridge in full neck in single coil inner.
i have always been a G&L guy, but the config has blown me away!
