Finally got around to fixing the pickup sPrING noise. Was wondering what to use as muffling and noticed a pair of earplugs on the windowsill.
Worked like a charm. Took all of five minutes.![]()
I like this! I jammed a big piece of polyethylene foam BETWEEN the springs and it worked OK, but left you with that big klunky piece of foam under there!
Im new to g&ls but my 87 doesn't have a springy noise to the sound at all. Does that year have springs?

BadJazz said:It was only an issue on Tribute basses for a few years and has since been remedied. Both of my US L2Ks are pingless.
I still own 2 G&L's. I have sold 3.5.
TO THE TOP.
It's about 16mm.Hey all,
I've been looking at G&L L-2500, Tributes (where does the M-2500 fit in?), they look like they are great 5-strings, get great reviews. I have been looking, but have yet to find what the string spacing is at the bridge, can anyone tell me?
Thanks!
Gus
Wow, that's tight! Too bad, too close for me.
Thanks.
