I've got 2 L-1505's and I love them. Although they are both highly modified. Actually I'd like to share some photos but I'm running out of upload space for TB. I think I can squeeze in two images though. The mods have really helped a lot.

I'm pretty new to the world of G&Ls. Have you posted photos, etc. of your bass? I'm thinking about digging into my L-2500 Tributes and am always curious about what others have done.
I had an '82 L1000 that was really thin and wide. 1.75 nut width, but thin front to back. I never really felt completely comfortable on it, but it sounded great. I had it for 15 years.
I haven't posted my L-2500 (fretless) in this thread. There's a posting or two several threads ago. My current L-2500 is all stock, with the exception of no battery and thus always passive. My old fretted was modded with single coil switching and Vol/Vol pots, but no tone. I eventually put an EMG BTC preamp in it, but reset it all stock before I sold it. Not sure I have any pics of that configuration.

This was a Raleigh NC based band from the early 90's called "Dag" Bobby is rock'n very early SB2 what killer Groove! Its the only bass I've ever seen him play and its still his #1!

Yeah they do! I LOVE those huge "bass boat" looking metal flakes so much.
I saw a 1505 at Atlanta Bass Gallery a few times with that great silver flake. If it were a four string I would surely have brought it home with me. Pretty sure I just saw another TB'er got it a few days back.

Shoreline gold, 1/4 sawn neck, light tint satin neck with gloss headstock and sexy neck binding! woo! Love it!
Beauty! Exactly like I would have done it! And in the L-2000 format - the ultimate sonic tool! Like the early '66 Jazz bass - I love neck binding w/dotted fingerboard markers - include Shoreline Gold (and double lower strap-pegs!) = a modern classic. (the further addition of Fender pops would destroy me!) Regardless - well played!
Thanks man! It is do far the finest instrument I have ever laid my hands on. I hate with a burning passion active basses.. But this even in passive mode just offers fantastic real world adjustability and the neck.. Best I've ever played (my other basses are fender custom shop).
I'm tossing up adding a slinky little cabronita pickguard.. I reckon it would really finish it off
