G&L Club Part 5

Do you love your G&L JB2 Tribute but are tired of your fingers cramping up trying to play that skinny neck? Do you need something meatier that'll fit your hand better? Then, are you in luck!

I have a G&L L2000 Tritbute with a rosewood fretboard, and I'd like to trade that neck with someone's JB2 Tribute neck. I'd prefer rosewood for rosewood, but beggars can't be choosers, huh?

No problem. It's totally playable as is for me, but if the neck could be a little narrower it would be better.

The big MFD humbuckers sound killer with flats or semi-flats/half-rounds.

Hello all G&L folks. I recently bought a G&L SB2 ash body and am wondering if a standard Fender Jazz neck will fit. I'm in love with the Hwy One series jazz necks and would like to build it from there. If not, I'm buying a SB2 Tribby and stealing all the hardware and neck for my ash body.

Nope. Fender and G&L have different shaped neck heels.

Just bought a G&L JB on impulse. I knew I wanted a passive jazz bass, but the Fenders never felt right. This plays so well and sounds perfect. Great bass!

Anybody else have an M series bass?

I'm looking into a second bass, and the M series is on my short list. Nobody locally is stocking and there are no youtube demos to get a sample of the character of the bass. I'm not a huge fan of bright and brassy bass sounds, but I'm hoping that the M's will be a good middle-of the road versatile bass. The price is in my range.

Rocket Music has a couple of M series in stock and I believe they have a 10 day trial period.

BassNW has some M's in stock too. Though in my case it took me about 1 day to decide I was keeping it.

I'm playing my M2500 in church this morning. Sounds great. No complaints. Playing direct to the board (through my pedal board).
